Subject: Sizzling Show!
Can't figure out why this gem hasn't gotten more attention. Far as I'm concerned, this AUD version trumps the other 3 SBDs available for this show. Great quality recording that captures the "feel" of the show and brings it to life. For an '84, Jerry is just off the charts. He plays like a man possessed, easily reminiscent of vintage '74 Garcia. The Dancing>Birdsong opener lets us know we're in for a hell of a show and a few songs later it pays out in spades. The China/Rider>Playin'>UJB ranks up there as one of the better 30+ minutes the boys ever put together. Second set's no slouch either. Bobby's letting it all out on Throwing Stones.....where Brent really cuts loose,,,,and that would be my only criticism. While the SBDs have Brent high in the mix, this recording has him on the low side. Pity too, the man's on his A game....but that's a minor bitch.

If you're a 70's head that's never cared for the later stuff, give this show a taste. It will not disappoint.

Subject: If you want to hear Jerry play
You need to d/l these Quirk tapes. All the Greek 84 SBDs sound great but Garcia's guitar is so low (and Brent's keys so high) in the mix it is maddening. By the way, Phil comes through pretty good on my speakers here. Thanks for these!!!!

Another tight closer for the Greeks. Good audiance,a lil light on the Phil Zone but good quality.
